MASVINGO- An 11 months old girl is urgently appealing for US$15 000 to undergo a life saving heart operation in South Africa, Italy or India.

BabyTanaka Chkambure was diagnosed with the life threatening congenital heart disease in December last year which can only corrected outside the country.

Congenital heart disease is an abnormality in the heart that presents itself at birth. The defect could be in the heart walls, valves or the blood vessels

Juliet Mafunga told The Midweek Watch that Tanaka’s health is deteriorating with each passing day and urgent medical attention is required.

“Tanaka is not enjoying her childhood, although she is young, but she is already suffering with a life threatening disease.

“The doctors said she has a hole in her heart which is life threatening, unfortunately we can’t afford the required fees for her operation.

“Therefore, we are appealing to the members of the public, business community and well wishers to help us bring back normal life for my baby.

“As a family alone we are grappling with the exorbitant daily medical costs and we are unable to meet the cost of the operation,” she said

Well wishers can get in touch with the Tanaka’s mother on 0776 219 739 or her father on 0773 902 499

Those who wish to use the bank can deposit the money in Juliet Mafunga’s CBZ local and forex accounts.
