A chicky Zvishavane mistress has been convicted for having the audacity to go and beat lights out her lover’s wife at their homestead, The Midweek Watch can reveal.

Tadiwanashe Dhaidhai (light in complexion) in prison garb arriving at Zvishavane Magistrates Court.

Tadiwanashe Dhaidhai went to Prince Street in Zvishavane Town and bashed Octavia Makwenda the legitimate wife of her lover, prominent business mogul Dunlot Makwenda who operates Makwenda Buses.

Zvishavane Magistrate Racheal Mukanga on Thursday last week sentenced Dhaidhai to eight months imprisonment, with four months suspended for five years after a full trial.

Additionally four months were suspended on condition that Dhaidhai performs 140 hours of community service at Zvishavane Magistrates Court, starting February 10, 2025.

The scuffle started when Dhaidhai referred to Makwenda as her ‘husband’ and Octavia as ‘co-wife’.

Magistrate Mukanga warned Dhaidhai and ordered her to cease using those terms.

Prosecutor Winston Mashingaidze had pushed for a two-year imprisonment, citing Dhaidhai’s lack of remorse and her continued emotional abuse of Makwenda’s wife.

The offense was deemed premeditated, and Magistrate Mukanga emphasized that Dhaidhai’s actions could be considered as adultery and Makwenda could also face arrest for bigamy if he had indeed married Dhaidhai.

The Zvishavane community has praised Magistrate Mukanga for sending a strong message to Dhaidhai.

The watch-in-brief lawyer for Makwenda’s wife, Ms. Caroline Leo Mafunga of Caroline and Associates, played a crucial role in advocating for justice in the case.
