A devastating road accident claimed the life of Vitalis Junior Zvinavashe (37), a prominent businessman from Gutu under Chief Chiwara in Masvingo Province.

Desmond Zvinavashe a brother to the deceased confirmed the sad news to The Midweek Watch and said the accident occurred on Sunday, May 18, at 11:30 pm in Mount Pleasant as Vitalis was driving home when his car veered off the road.
Vitalis, who was admitted to Borrowdale Trauma Centre, bravely fought for his life but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, May 21, at noon.
Born on October 13, 1987, Vitalis was a devoted family man, leaving behind his wife, Cynthia Zvinavashe née Kache. He was the third-born in a family of five boys and one girl to the late Colonel Pachedu Francis Zvinavashe and Margaret Zondiwe Zvinavashe.
Vitalis attended Selbourne Batrilidge School in Belvedere for his primary education, St. Ignatius College for Forms 1 to 4, and Kutama College for his A-levels. He furthered his studies at the University of Zimbabwe, China, and Midlands State University, where he pursued his postgraduate studies.
At the time of his death, Vitalis was the chief executive officer of the Ali Magro Group of Companies incorporating Ali Magro Properties, Logistics, and Transportation. He was a Roman Catholic by faith and was named after his uncle, the late General Vitalis Zvinavashe.
Desmond described him as a pillar of strength to those who knew him and the family at large.
“Vitalis’s passing leaves a void in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues, and he will be deeply missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” said Desmond.
