ABUSE OF SOCIAL MEDIA BY SOME ELEMENTS OF THE SOCIETY IN MASVINGO
Zimbabwe Republic Police in Masvingo Province has noted with concern the abuse of social media by certain individuals who misrepresent facts to mislead members of the public.
These elements photo shop old pictures, videos from their archives and attach information which they purport to be current. An example is a video circulating on YouTube purported to have been taken at ZRP Zaka on the 16th of August 2023.The video shows pictures of buildings which do not even exist at any of the police stations in Masvingo Province
We encourage members of the public to desist from generating, posting and circulating such falsehoods
Let us maintain peace throughout the election period and beyond.
