ZRP hunts Pangolin hit-and-run driver

MASVINGO-The Zimbabwe Republic Police Masvingo Province is investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a gold Toyota Bubble, registration number ADX 8626.

The incident occurred on the 15th of February at around 1841 hours along Mushandike Street in Pangolin.

 Leon Kaunda (25) of Rujeko C was reportedly waiting for transport when the vehicle struck him with its front bumper and side mirror causing him to fall to the ground.

Kaunda sustained injuries to his left leg and left hand and is currently in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the accident but the victim managed to capture the vehicle’s registration number. Investigations are underway.

ZRP Masvingo province deputy spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu is appealing to members of the public who may have information about the driver’s identity or whereabouts to report to the nearest police station. He also urged motorists to stop after being involved in accidents and render assistance to victims.
