GWERU-Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) immediate past president, Dr Tinashe Manzungu has been honoured with 2023 Leaders Without Borders at an annual business summit and international held in the United Kingdom.
Dr Manzungu was also honoured together with 6 others with a PHD in Business Administration (with special recognition to leadership and management) by California Metropolitan University for the tremendous strides in business for the country and the African continent
Speaking at the event, The co-founder and chief executive officer of Zimbuild Contracting, Dr Manzungu said innovation and productivity were key drivers of sustainable economic growth.

“This was a good week for me and the country at large. I was honoured with Leaders Without Borders at the annual international business summit. I want to urge business leaders that innovations and productivity are the drivers of sustainable economic and social development.
“As I stand here, I say this is an opportunity to market the country and Africa at large. It was about weighing out the sustainability of the investments that come to Africa and our country.
“We need to encourage partnerships in small to medium to large enterprises rather than monopoly from country to country, continent to continent in the bid to create a stronger regional, continental and global economy.
“I invite the first world countries to come to work with us in developing our infrastructure as well value edition our minerals as an emerging economy that has got its own targets of of transforming our society by 2030,” said Dr Manzungu.
Dr Manzungu further highlighted that the Africa Continental Free Trade Area has growth potential hence the need to invite the globe to come and work together with Africa and invest financially.
“I am glad to report that a lot expressed interest and were now negotiating and having meetings to that effect. We also used the example of SinoHydro where 1 300 megawatts of power are going to be generated through the partnership between Zimbabwe and China in a bid to encourage global partnership.
“I am also glad that we have signed MOUs with some African companies and European companies. I can safely say that I am happy with the emergency of the Africa Real Estate Association (AREA) where European companies can invest by leveraging on the strong African infrastructure grouping.
“To them, it means less risk. As Zimbabwe is one of the cofounders, we look forward to seeing more infrastructure projects implemented because of this new big African project,” he added.
The business summit was also aimed at creating a global network, and investment opportunities and promote economic development
Th Indaba was held under the theme “Business Beyond Borders – Global Partnerships and Sustainable Investments”
