Masvingo North Constituency is set to benefit from improved healthcare services with the completion of the Zishumbe Clinic now imminent.

The project, which is part of the government’s devolution program aimed at bringing essential services closer to rural communities, has been progressing steadily.
The MP for Masvingo North, Brian Mudumi said that for years, residents of the area had to travel to Ndanga or Masvingo, which is 30km away to access medical services, but with the clinic’s completion, they will soon have access to quality healthcare within their vicinity.
The local community has expressed gratitude to the MP and the government for prioritizing health development under the Second Republic.
Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary for Devolution, Dr. Addmore Pazvakavambwa, hailed the project as a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to decentralize service delivery.
“The devolution program is aimed at ensuring that essential services are brought closer to the people, and the Zishumbe Clinic is a shining example of this commitment. We are pleased with the progress being made on the project and are confident that it will greatly improve the lives of the local community,” said Pazvakavambwa.
“The clinic’s completion is expected to reduce the burden on residents who have had to travel long distances to access medical services, and will also help to improve health outcomes in the area. The government’s commitment to devolution and healthcare development is set to bring about tangible benefits to communities across the country, and the Zishumbe Clinic is just one example of the many projects underway to improve the lives of Zimbabweans,” he added.
