MASVINGO – The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) has advised clients to update their accounts as third party payments have not been credited since they do not have account numbers.

In a public notice issued today ZINWA advised clients to visit their nearest offices and ensure that their accounts have been credited with the amounts paid.

ZINWA said all clients that have made deposits or transfers into its bank accounts without providing their water account details that such payment have not been credited into their respective accounts.

“The Authority is therefore advising all clients who have paid through bank transfers or deposits to approach their nearest ZINWA offices with their proof of payment for their accounts to be credited accordingly”.

The notice further indicated that some of their clients have been using third parties to make payments and they are not putting their account numbers when paying using platforms such as ZIPIT, making it impossible for ZINWA to credit their accounts.

“Please note that all clients who have used third parties to make payments have not had their accounts credited”.

Clients are strongly advised to put their account details each time they make payments using electronic platforms such as mobile money payments and bank transfers for timely crediting of the payments
