MASVINGO RURAL-Reformed Church in Zimbabwe run Zimuto High School has once again proven its academic excellence by achieving an impressive 99.18% pass rate in the 2025 A-Level Zimbabwe School Examinations Council.

A total of 122 candidates sat for the exams, comprising 60 females and 62 males, of these, 119 students passed in all their learning areas, reflecting a strong upward trend from the school’s 2024 pass rate of 96%.
According to the school Head, … Chikaka, the school’s performance this year was very encouraging, with 13 learning areas recording a 100% pass rate.
The remaining 3 subjects still performed commendably well, with pass rates ranging between 88% and 98.4%.
A remarkable 19 candidates scored 15 points or more, underscoring the school’s dedication to academic excellence and holistic learner development.
Chikaka attributed the success to several key strategies, including extended evening study hours, vacation school, academic seminars, increased internet coverage, motivated learners, and a culture of strict discipline.
“These measures played a significant role in pushing our students to aim higher and stay focused,” he said.
However, he also noted that inadequate ICT tools remain a challenge and may have slightly impacted the overall performance.
Zimuto which is located 16 from Masvingo City continues to set the pace in Masvingo Province, building a legacy of academic achievement and commitment to quality education.
