ZIMSEC nullifies 4 961 O Level candidates results for cheating

ZIMSEC has nullified O Level results for 4 961 candidates for malpractices during the 2022 examinations and there were some centres that were also deregistered.

This represents 1.78% of the 278 760 candidates who sat for the O Level examinations in 2022.

The 2022 national pass rate is 28.96% with 53 169 getting five subjects and above from the 183 584 who sat for five subjects and above.

This was said by the ZIMSEC board chairman, Professor Eddie Mwenje in a statement released this afternoon.

The pass rate for female candidates is 24.98% and 25.16% for male candidates.

The results are accessible on the ZIMSEC portal from 3am today for the next 5 days.
