MASVINGO-Masvikiro4ED, a spiritual grouping affiliated to Zanu PF has vowed that no other organisation will ever rule this country except the revolutionary party.
Masvikiro4ED is one of Zanu PF affiliates which was present at Mucheke Stadium on June 9 where President Mnangagwa held an interface rally with first time voters in the province.
Speaking in an Interview with The Midweek Watch Masvikiro 4ED National chairperson, Sekuru Morrison Mafuta said theirs is not an ordinary affiliate formed because the country is about to go into election but a spiritual guardian that exists to protect Zanu PF leadership and country’s legacy.
Mafuta said he is certain that President Mnangagwa will win the August 23 election because the ancestors are happy with his leadership.
“We are the spiritual guardians of this country and we stand with President Mnangagwa and so are the spiritual war liberators and our ancestors. Our role is to protect the country from the enemy, to make sure that we will never lose it to colonialists or neo colonialists.
“To those who think that the country will be ruled by any other part other than Zanu PF, I have bad news for you, you are fooling yourselves. We fought for this country to become independent and many people perished during the war against white settlers. We are here to safeguard the spiritual legacy that brought about this country.
“In fact as of this year my advice to opposition parties is that they should not waste resources and money trying to campaign because a win is guaranteed for President Mnangagwa.” said Mafuta who was bubbling with confidence.
Another svikiro identified as Sekuru Fannuel Matsenga who had travelled from Harare said their role is to guide the President and protect the country’s wealth to make sure that it is not taken away from us by the colonialists fronted opposition parties in the country.
“Those who died for this land, those with whom their spirits dwell in us are this country’s ancestral war liberators and their message to the nation is that President Mnangagwa is the chosen leader of this country at this moment and those fighting his government will not succeed.
“Those who have fought and died for this country will lead through President Mnangagwa and make sure that our land is prosperous as manifested through the Second Republic’s National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) and Vision 2030. Zanu PF has the history of how this country was liberated from the white regime,” he said.
There were 50 affiliates groups which turned up at the rally among them Ama2K4ED, Single Mothers4ED , MenBelievED, Young Women4ED, Chiefs4ED, Vendors4ED, Mahwindi4ED, PWD4ED.
Also present was Zanu PF second secretary and former Vice President Kembo Mohadi, National Political Commissar Mike Bimha , Masvingo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Chadzamira, Zanu-PF secretary for Security Lovemore Matuke and Masvingo Provincial chairperson Rabson Mavhenyengwa.
