The First Lady Axullia Mnangagwa left Rupike Irrigation Scheme a happy person unknowingly that the local Zanu PF had cheated her.

Mai Mnangagwa was recently in Masvingo Central Ward 23 at Rupike to assess the impact of Goat Scheme she initiated.

The Zanu PF leadership had squandered the seed money for the goat scheme and had to moot a plan to deceive Mai Mnangagwa.

The local Zanu PF leaders ordered all Zanu PF supporters who had goats to bring them to Rupike as an honour to First Lady. The villagers did not know that this was a coverup to the loot which the local Zanu PF leaders had done.

One hundred and twenty one goats were assembled at Rupike. All these goats were not of the First Lady’s Pass A Goat Scheme.

The Zanu PF leadership were asked to donate two goats to The First Lady as a thank you for the project. Two goats were identified and donated to Mai Mnangagwa. The goats belonged to a local villager popularly known as Dembare.

After First Lady had departed the local Zanu PF leaders asked every Zanu PF supporter to contribute $5 so that they could replace Dembare’s goats.

It is surprising that Wicknell Chivayo’s business partners Chimombe and Mpofu were arrested for a similar Pass A Goat Scheme but these local ZanuPF leaders are free.

“The level of deceit, looting and corruption by this Second Republic is shameful. A fish rots from the head. The corruption at Central government has cascaded to Ward and village level. It seems Zanu PF is celebrating corruption and is in a campaign to recruit as many corrupt kings and queens at all levels.”
