The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission arrested lawyer, Linda Kovi on charges of obstructing the course of justice.
Kovi from Kanoti and Partners allegedly sought the services of a traditional healer, one Chief Dotito (who is still at large) to harm the witness, ZACC officers and court officials handling her case of fraud which is before the courts.
Kovi was arrested by ZACC in November 2023 on allegations of fraudulently acquiring a conversion certificate with the Zimbabwe Council for Legal Education and was out on bail.
She went further to connive with some police officers and threatened to tarnish the names of the ZACC officers investigating her.
She is set to appear in court today, Friday 1 March, 2024.
