Police in Mwenezi have arrested Daisy Ivy Makanaka (25) for murder after she struck and stabbed her husband with a knife in a feat of jealousy.
The incident happened on 10 July at Masvosva Village when the wife saw her husband, the now deceased Talent Golden Masuku (40) in the company of his ex-wife, Shingirirai Mativenga 44.
As if that was not enough, Makanaka went on to strike Mativenga on the head with the same log and bit her on the cheek.
Meanwhile, police has arrested a Gokwe woman for infanticide after she gave birth to a baby boy who later died and the mother concealed the corpse in a trunk of a baobab tree.
Deline Kademaunga allegedly committed the crime on 5 July at Kademaunga Village, Gokwe South soon after giving birth to the child.
