ZVISHAVANE- A-22- year-old who was raped by a gang of five men is still hospitalized six days after the unfortunate incident.
The woman, who can’t be named for professional reasons, was raped and dumped by five men after they offered her a lift in an unregistered grey Honda Fit on Saturday last week at around 5pm.
The woman’s mother told The Midweek Watch that the victim boarded the unregistered vehicle on her way to Muzvondiwa.
“Right now, I am in a shock about what happened to my daughter, it was on Saturday around 5pm when she texted me that “Mom something is not right with the car l got in then her phone was switched off “(Mhamha mota yandakwira handisi kuinzwisisa kubva ipapo nhare yake haina kuzobatika).
She added that the following day she received a message from unknown person that her daughter was found unconscious near Siname area under Chief Mapunzure.
” l almost collapsed after I received a message that my daughter was dumped in Siname area and was taken to Zvishavane District Hospital,” said the distraught mother.
The woman’s mother said that the she is still receiving treatment at a local hospital and the matter is being investigated by the Police.
