SPORTS REPORTER

MIDLANDS -TelOne Fc aka WiFi Boys are back to winning ways after they hammered Amazon FC of Maphisa which is 30km from the Botswana border 5-0 in a game that was played at Ascot Stadium.

The results were confirmed to The Midweek Watch by the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League acting vice chairperson, Thomas Marambanyika.

The result means the Gweru based outfit maintains top spot with 43 points from 18 games.

They are six points clear of army side Tongogara FC who had their game against MSU FC postponed due to bad weather in Gweru.

Third placed ZPC Munyati FC played out to a goalless draw against Shabanie Mine FC and now have 32 points from 18 games.

Kwekwe United FC saw off FC Platinum U19 team 2-1.

TelOne have this season made it clear that they are playing for promotion although they have dropped five points after a shock loss to Dulibadzimu FC and a draw against the airmen, Chapungu United FC.

However, against Amazon they played like true champions by forcing the opposite goalie five times to collect the ball at the back of the nets.

TelOne are trying to avoid a last minute slip up like last season when they were pipped by Sheasham FC aka Construction Boys who gained promotion into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League at their expense.
