‘Worried about Hwendedzo Man Who Raped a Minor;’
While l understand that this case is sub judice, ‘but l am not here to praise Caesar but to bury him’.
Those above words come from Shakesprean’ s works. I had been following this story, from day one. The story took place last year in the Hwendedzo Resettlement area. The accused, who is allegedly to have had an affair with a minor, who doubles as her daughter’s friend, is out on bail.
And the case is continuously postponed, as his shallow defence is that, they are/ were lovers. The accused (name supplied) on a layman’s analysis simply took advantage of the young girl’s relationship with his daughter. In actual fact he raped her despite the girl’ s age in tandem with her own daughter’s. His defence to me of being lovers is unacceptable, corrosive and in bad taste. So let the jury do their duty, as we the parents are waiting for a fair outcome which protects the girl child. The accused is just a dangerous paedophile on the loose in our community.
