MASVINGO CITY-The word hell is not enough to describe what Masvingo United FC aka Un Una has been going through since the season began as they seem to be weighed down heavily by serious financial problems which are bedeviling the most successful club from Masvingo Province.

This weekend Una Una could not have asked for a better opponent as they face wounded JM Busha FC who were handed a heavy 2-0 defeat by Tenax Fc at home.

Last weekend Una Una lost to developmental side Manica Diamonds U19 by a solitary goal, going for a third game without winning.

Una Una are on 13th position out of 16 teams with their weekend opponents JM Busha FC on 10th place.

Una Una Godfrey Dondo famously known as Mai Mahofa by his legions of fans blamed much of the blame on poor officiating.

“Sometimes the referees should operate fairly, it is not all about which team has more money but fair play,” Dondo said.

Mai Mahofa said  that the game against fierce rivals FC Wangu Mazodze was decided by money as it was balanced and they had an upper hand, but due to dubious referring they lost in the dying minutes in what was a clear foul.

“This weekend`s game is a do or die for us so, I promise a tough match as we are going to beef up our strikeforce with some surprise inclusion,” said Mai Mahofa.

The assurance from the gaffer may not be enough to allay sentiments among their staunch supporters who beginning to sing a different song.

“I am a Masvingo United die hard fan since childhood and I have never thought of changing my team but the recent losses have left me disappointed and we definitely need to go back to our winning ways, even the coach knows the glorious days as he was one of the players who were raising the flag for this team high,” said one fan.

Godfrey Dondo who is now the coach has been one of the most famous and celebrated players to come from Masvingo United FC during its best years in the Premiership.

“We are anticipating to face a very good Masvingo Utd side. It’s going to be the toughest match of our season so far because am sure they want to revenge for the first match of the season.

“We are assembling a new team and we are going to use this match as a yardstick to see how far can the boys go,” said JM Busha FC’s head coach Dzvairo Clifford.

“Our aim now is to pick up points in the remaining 15 games and finish in the top 4 or even better when the season ends. I trust the boys and the personnel we have the ability to do the work and bring happiness to our supporters,” he added.
