MBERENGWA-Mberengwa based ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2A league table toppers Black Eagles FC have reiterated they are already preparing for life in the Central Region come next season.

Black Eagles are currently leading the log table with 3 points and have played one less than their closest rivals Mbesa FC.

Team Manager, Wilbert Zveshure told The Midweek Watch after their 2-1 victory over Jemice Academy Fc over the weekend that their mission of playing in the Division One next year is no longer reversable as the result cemented their place at the summit of the table.

They got their goals from Energy Chakweya and their captain, George Mutapiri.

“We started off poorly, as we were losing away games coupled with poor referring decisions and poor finishing due to a disjointed midfield.

“Our main challenge was that we did not have time to properly train since the time we were on window period our players were on election duty, and we only trained for two days.

“We went to the half time on one all stalemate as action was flowing from one end to the other. In the second half we came back a more rejuvenated side and we managed to score early into the second half and we unsettled them the whole half as they were trying to recover.

“The first to score was Energy  Chakweya aka Hazard our chief striker and the scorer of the winning goal was the captain himself George ‘Sugar Sugar’ Mutapiri.

“Overally our performance was good considering that we’re coming from a long mid season break. I don’t think we will relinquish position number one, our goal is to keep the momentum by continuously picking up maximum points such that what happens to other teams will not concern us.

“We need to dance with big guys in the top flight and we are already preparing for that come next season,” said Zveshure.
