MIDLANDS – Chapungu FC’s star striker Edward Watson is lighting up the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Division 1 Soccer League, leading the goal-scoring charts with 15 goals after 27 rounds of matches.
Watson has surpassed the goal-scoring tally made by Blessing Sibanda of TelOne, who won the top scorer award last season.
Trailing Watson is Simon Shanga of Tongogara, who has 10 goals from as many matches.
Peter Gore of ZRP Gwanda is third on the list with nine goals.
The Chapungu FC talisman has been in superb form, helping his team maintain a strong position in the league.
His goal-scoring exploits have made him the leading contender for the top scorer award this season.
