MASVINGO – In a feat rarely witnessed in the ancient city, a massive 13 000-plus crowd attended a prayer revival themed “Voice of Revival” which was held at Mamutse Stadium in Mucheke, Masvingo on 27 January, 2023.

Old people, youths and toddlers formed the huge sea of vivacious human beings from all over the country and from as far as South Africa and United Kingdom who graced the all night prayer ceremony that was characterized by joy, colour and several memorable moments.

Facilitated by Reverends Ntobeko and Sthandazile Mhlanga of Glory Temple Church in partnership with the Worship Addicts, the highly successful event was graced by prominent Zimbabwean pastors and musicians such as Ian Ndlovhu of Devine Kingdom Baptism church, Takesure Zama, Tinashe Murigo, Ellard and Sharon Cherayi, Nyasha Mutonhori.

Chairman of the Glory Hour, Praymore Chikanda, well known as Pastor Prayers, desribed the event as “a blessed event” that was unprecedented in Masvingo.

“This all night prayer was very massive and we have never seen anything like that in Masvingo. We are very thankful for everyone who attended. Pastors and prophets from different prayer houses from different parts of Zimbabwe and had popular gospel musicians like Takesure Zama took the worship to a higher level.

“”A lot of miracles happened on the night and people went back home full of the Holy Spirit and were delivered. In particular, a man from Mhandamabwe who came walking with the aid of walking sticks was prayed for and he was instantly healed and went back walking on his own,” said Chikanda.

Chikanda said that they were now going to take the same template of all night praying to all the 10 provinces of the country.

“Our next bus stop is going to be in Mutare on a date to be announced and we are aiming at all the 10 provinces in Zimbabwe. Who knows, if all goes well we might go out of the country so that we win a lot of souls.”
