Chiredzi- Rodin Mashingaidze (18) of Village Mashingaidze under Chief Ndanga, Zaka has been slapped with 15 years for raping his mentally challenged niece (23) by Regional Magistrate Judith Zuyu.
It was the state case that sometime in June 2024 Mashingaidze met with the victim on her way home from the well and he removed the bucket from her head and placed it on the ground.
Mashingaidze tripped the victim to the ground and fondled her breasts, sucked them several times and caressed her buttocks.
He went on to remove his short to knee level and raped her.
The matter came to light in August 2024 when she informed her aunt who reported the incident to the police leading to the arrest of the accused.
