Masvingo United Football Club, popularly known as Una Una, has bolstered its squad by signing six experienced players following the departure of star striker Adam Tende to Premier League giants, Caps United.

The new recruits are Prideron Chikunguru, (midfielder), Gilbert Timoti (defender), Edward Mafa( striker), Emish Chale ( Forward), Washington Ncube(forward ) and Agrippa Muurimba(striker).
Advocate Phillip Shumba, said the club deliberately targeted these players for their wealth of experience, which will undoubtedly boost the team’s chances of success.

“These players will help us fight for the championship and stay on top, we are confident that their experience will make a significant difference in our bid for the title,” said Shumba.
During their unveiling, the players expressed their commitment to help Masvingo United achieve its goals. Gilbert Timoti, in particular, promised to follow his routine of pushing teams to the Premier Soccer League, a feat he has achieved with Greenfuel FC and Bikita Minerals FC.

“I am confident that we can do it again with Masvingo United,” he said.
The signings come at a crucial time for Masvingo United, which is vying for better opportunities this season. The team currently has 35 points, from 15 games they have played so far and has a busy schedule ahead. In August, they will play two away games and one home game, starting with an away match against giant killers Risitu Tigers this weekend.

Shumba assured fans that the club is organizing transport for away games, encouraging them to come out in their numbers to support the team.
“We want our fans to know that we are working hard to bring success to the team, we urge them not to lose hope and to continue supporting us. We will do everything possible to make sure they can cheer us on, both at home and away,” added Shumba.
With their new recruits and determined mindset, Masvingo United fans are optimistic about the team’s chances of success this season.
