Chiredzi- Chiredzi Town Council run Tshovani Primary School has made positive strides in academic excellence, increasing their Zimbabwe School Examinations Council 2025 Grade 7 pass rate from 79% to an impressive 89%.

Tshovani Acting Head.

The school has also emerged as the top-performing public school in Chiredzi District boasting the highest number of students who achieved 6 units, The Midweek Watch has learned.

The Acting Head N. Deme praised the school staff’s dedication, teamwork and parent’s unwavering support which culminated in the impressive performance.

“This is all because of the hard work our staff put in which includes parents and dedication of the learners. I am grateful for these excellent results and we aim to maintain or surpass them next year,” said Deme.

On another positive development the school has begun enrolling disabled children in its newly established stimulation class which was launched mid-last term.

Deme  is encouraging parents with disabled children to visit the school to learn about the enrollment procedure.

“We now have a stimulation class and we have enrolled six students so far. Parents should come to school and be advised on how to enroll their children so they can receive the education they

 deserve.” Said Mrs Deme.

Despite having 308 students sit for the exams the school maintained its impressive performance with the  effort of staff, students and parents.
