TRIANGLE –A 45 year old woman from Triangle was stabbed to death by her husband over infidelity issues.
Espina Nhambura (45) of section 19 in Triangle was fatally stabbed by her husband, Tineyi Matonho, (42), during an argument over his alleged marital affairs on August 03.
Masvingo Province ZRP spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the incident occurred at around 1am at the couple’s home.
He said Matonho became angry over the issue and attacked Nhambura with a sharp object, leaving a deep gash on her right elbow.
Nhambura bled profusely and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Collin Sanders Hospital around 3am.
Matonho was immediately arrested, and Nhambura’s body was transferred to Chiredzi General Hospital for a post-mortem.
Inspector Dhewa urged the public to seek help from third parties, who include the police, relatives or professional counsellors in resolving disputes, rather than resorting to violence.
