Chivi-International Cooperatives Day celebrations held at Madyangove Primary Shool at Chivi Growth Point ended tragically as three people died in a head on collision involving a department of veterinary services UD truck that was carrying the PA system and a kombi before Chibi turn off last night (12/7/24).
The horrific accident happened at Mupani just before Chibi turn off as the truck which was taking back equipment to Masvingo City used for the 38th celebrations of CoopsDay allegedly hit an encroaching kombi going the opposite direction.
Efforts to get a confirmation from the Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa were unsuccessful as his mobile number was unreachable until the time of posting the story, but reliable sources confirmed the accident to The Midweek Watch.
