Tiger Wheel opens US$250k Gweru branch

GWERU-One of the fastest growing brands in the automotive industry, Tiger Wheel and Tyre Zimbabwe has expanded its national coverage with the launch of a US$250 000 branch in Gweru today.

The company is one of the fastest growing high tech fitment centers in Zimbabwe’s automotive industry which gives unique retail experience to a wide range of customers.

Officially commissioning the UD$250 000 branch in the Midlands capital, Provincial Affairs Minister, Owen Ncube said Tiger Wheel and Tyre’s investment will contribute immensely to the local economy.

“Midlands Province is indeed open for business. We welcome domestic and foreign investment, trade and tourism as we offer beneficial opportunities and guarantee security of investment.

“Services provided by Tiger Wheel and Tyre to our transport sector will contribute significantly to the Provincial Gross Domestic Product.

“These include mining sector, manufacturing sector, retail sector, agricultural value chains that are some of the major contributors towards the realization of an upper middle income society by 2030,” he said.

Ncube added that the investment is a result of the positive impact of ease of doing business reforms brought by the Second Republic which encourages foreign direct investment.

Ncube said the investment comes on the backdrop of the “image building and re-engagement agenda”.

He added that Zimbabwe will continue to strive for an open economy and promote enabling business environment.

“Zimbabwe continues to facilitate an open economy that creates opportunities for investors and its citizens. Guided by Vision 2030, Government is focused on promoting a sound business environment for all potential investors as well as the aspirations of people of Zimbabwe towards job creation and improved living standards,” added Minister Ncube.

So far the government has managed to strike landmark business partnerships investments in the Midlands Province that include Dinson Iron and Steel plant in Manhize, Chrome Smelting plants at ZIMASCO, Unki smelting plant and  Mimosa optimization plant among others.
