The Apostolic Faith Mission of Zimbabwe’s (AFM) Worship Experience Choir hosted its highly anticipated second worship session, Worship Experience 2, at the Charles Austin Theatre on January 1, 2026, marking a powerful start to the new year.

Building on the success of Worship Experience 1 held in January 2025, this year’s edition was met with overwhelming attendance, leaving the venue oversubscribed and prompting event organisers to consider a larger space for future gatherings.

In a spirit-filled atmosphere of praise, worship, and unity, believers from across Masvingo and beyond gathered for an evening of reflection, thanksgiving, and hope.

Speaking during the event, Overseer Donard Ndoni of AFM Zimbabwe encouraged believers to remain steadfast in praise, regardless of their circumstances.

Citing passages from the book of Psalms, he reminded the congregation that “God responds to praise” and called for greater participation from churches across the city in future editions.

Worship Experience Music Director, Busani Zulu, expressed gratitude for the growth of the choir and support from the community.

“Organising something of this magnitude is not easy, but by God’s grace, we are here today,” he said.

Zulu also acknowledged other churches for their support, particularly Glory Temple, which provided the PA system, an act he said reflects the unity of the body of Christ.

Prominent gospel artists including Moxx the Vocal Coach, Matthew Deve, Pastor Ngoni Chinzou, and several members of the AFM national choir blessed the event with soul-stirring performances.

Guests came from as far as Bindura, Harare, and Bulawayo to be part of the powerful worship session.

Local talent was also celebrated, with performances from Masvingo-based artists such as Angela Zenda, Lloyd Muponda, and Cynthia Zulu.

Overseer Ndoni closed the night with a bold vision: “Our dream is that one day all churches in our city will come together to worship God in one place. The impact of such an event will be astronomic.”

With plans already underway to make Worship Experience an annual interdenominational event, Masvingo is quickly becoming a hub for gospel revival and unity through music.
