THE LAZY PANT- PUSHERS

What is happening in Zimbabwe and the world over is something akin to the second coming of Jesus Christ, all devout Christians believe so.

From the serial killer in the streets of Harare, feasting on human organs. Yester year it was in Matova village, Gokomere where an uncle killed his nephew and made a meal out of the body. It is in this crazy world where all these shenanigans take place. In Murehwa about three years ago an uncle also killed his name sake for rituals and the body was buried without a head. When Axe Killer in the late 1980s ran amok killing his victims using an axe, it was just the beginning of bad tidings to come.

Some analysts blame drugs for all these cases and some blame the culture of materialism, which has been popularized by the pop culture using big tech companies. Idol worshiping of the rich is now a culture.

So, all lazy young men of these days think of how to make money quickly, henceforth they go for ‘ juju’ (magic wand) to get rich quickly. Some kill relatives and harvest parts which are used for the rituals of getting rich without much hussles.  Some go to places like Nigeria and South Africa where ‘ tokoloshes’ are sold for enriching lazy minds.

On Sunday the community of Gokomere Mission were shocked when a grade 7 pupil of Gokomere CPS connived with two other juveniles from Matova village, who are also doing from 2 and 4 at Matova Secondary School. They enticed him as a minor and they used him to break into the Gokomere High School girls hostels and steal girls’ undergarments.

Some very observant parents on that day noticed boys jumping the perimeter fence into the hostels and notified security, who apprehended the culprits. The reasons for stealing the panties are still unknown.

Some residents suspect of rituals and others think the bigger guys from Matova Secondary School, were in business of selling second hand pants at their school, so Gokomere High School hostels were their Mupedzanhamo (flea-market). The case has been reported to Masvingo Central Police Station for further investigations.
