Guantanamo Bay Detention Centre is run and owned by the United States of America.
It is leased from Cuba.
What goes inside the facility is only America’ s business. And the world doesn’t care much because any penitentiary is designed to reform its first offenders and also recidivists.
But this detention centre is more like a concentration camp.
Terrorists and prisoners of war are the occupants of this facility.
Some years back during the war on terror, it was in the headlines when detainees who were mostly Moslems were exposed to some horrendous acts by its female guards.
Although much information about how it operates do not leak, the facility respects no human rights.
On 7 October 2023, Hamas which is an extremist organization which runs the affairs of Gaza, besieged Israel and assassinated more than one thousand Jewry civilians.
And the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu aka Bibi, wasted no time in retaliating. Although the tension has subsided, Gaza is now rubles.
The name now is only visible on the map. It was the most coward attack by the group, as it called for the wanton destruction of the enclave.
Some more than hundred Jewish captives are still in the hands of Hamas right now, although negotiations to get them back are ongoing.
I don’t understand what was in the minds of Hamas, when they carried out such an attack. Still the objective of the attack didn’t warrant such a huge loss of civilians lives.
The Israeli army is known world wide for its precise fighting tactics, remember the raid on Entebbe in Uganda in 1976, it was led by Yoni Netanyahu (older brother of Benjamin Netanyahu). So it runs in the family.
Idi Amin didn’t know what hit him. I watched the movie in 1981, that was when l liked the Israel Defence Forces. Although its operation in Gaza was vengeful, l knew it was coming.
Also, around 30 000 Palestinian civilians are reported to have been killed, as Hamas was accused of using civilians as human shields. If Israel can kill its own to make sure that its enemy target doesn’t escape then you think otherwise, it will not do so to its enemy target?
Collateral damage in wars is perceived as targeted, but in a war you kill or get killed yourself. As the war was raging on in Gaza, al Jazeera became the only television broadcaster that beamed live what was going on there.
All western media cable news networks were mute. Even when South Africa accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, the networks were also mute.
Anyway, the editorial policy of any media house tells it, what to and not report. So, if anyone tells you that, we are an independent media house, just clap him in the face; independent from whom?
Media houses in America are busy trying to discredit Donald Trump, as they did in 2020. That shows you that there is no independent voice in the world. The piper is paid, and he plays the bagpipe.
The teacher of democracy cannot allow students in its federal states, to protest against the war in Gaza. Universities worldwide are engines of diverse views.
Freedom of speech is one human right they are known for advocating.
But now the teacher of the rule of law, democracy and human rights cannot allow students in America to exercise those rights.
Some students are being suspended and arrested in higher tertiary institutions, as they oppose the continued incursion in Gaza. They are accused of being anti-Semitic; which they deny. They say being anti-Zionist does not mean one is antisemitic.
News outlets are saying many protesting students are Jewry, so why does the teacher of democracy listen to their grievances?
The old men are running the affairs of the United States, and they appear to be conservative and old school which do not want to lend their ears to the young voices.
And the Democratic party is also afraid of being exposed and loose the coming November elections. So, the best way is to can these restless young voices.
Remember Vietnam War was ended by the same protests. So, old Biden is trying every trick in the book to silence them.
If the teacher continues to teach us ” nonsense ” which he does not believe in, he is simply making a fool out of himself.
In Zimbabwe our latter day prophets continue to tell their congregants, that by the grace of God they will be rich overnight; but they continue to swim in poverty.
Democracy is for a few elites and captains of industry. Democracy has failed third world countries, as it is used as a tool to punish anyone who dares question it.
