MASVINGO-Newly established upmarket KwaFikie Restaurant has stepped forward as one of the key supporters of the inspiring One Man Campaign Marathon, a long-distance awareness initiative running from Beitbridge to Harare.
The campaign, led by Sydney Moyo (34), popularly known as Sydaboss, began on March 3 and is set to conclude on March 25.
On March 13, Moyo and his dedicated team made a stop at KwaFikie Restaurant, where they were warmly received as they proceeded wth their journey.
Accompanying him are Simba Murima, the campaign’s cameraman, Violette Ncube, who serves as the first aid assistant, and Bothwell Sithole, their driver.

Together, the team has been covering demanding daily distances of 78km, 64km, 54km, 28km, and 69km respectively since departing from Beitbridge.
Beyond the physical endurance, the marathon carries a powerful message, at every stop, the team actively campaigns on six key social issues, ending gender-based violence (GBV) and domestic violence, combating drug abuse while promoting mental health awareness, HIV awareness, cancer awareness, and road safety.
Moyo shared that his motivation is deeply personal, he revealed that his childhood was marked by experiences of GBV, and he once lived with someone who was HIV positive without knowing, narrowly escaping infection.
“People must open up to their partners,” he emphasized, urging honesty and awareness in relationships.
He also expressed gratitude to his team, acknowledging their unwavering support in bringing his vision to life.
He further called on young people to take responsibility of their future, encouraging them to remain focused, vigilant, and committed to building stronger communities and better leadership.
Adding her voice to the cause, Mollay Fikile Hungwe, CEO of KwaFikie Restaurant and Mostyle Boutique, said she was honoured to support the initiative.
She stressed the importance of unity in tackling societal challenges such as drug abuse, GBV, road safety, cancer, and HIV awareness.
Hungwe highlighted the need to leave no one and no place behind, echoing the national vision championed by President Mnangagwa.
As the marathon continues toward its final destination in Harare, the One Man Campaign Marathon stands as a powerful testament to resilience, awareness, and the impact of one individual’s determination to drive meaningful change.
