MIDLANDS- New Sheasham Football Club head Coach Liswe Sweswe left a positive mark in his first match against ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium.
The match ended in a goalless draw but however the club’s bosses were impressed with his style of play.
The club’s chairman Reginald Chidawanyika told The Midweek Watch that the team was playing a good blend of football but missed out on chances especially in the first half, but however there were a lot of positives in the game.
Sweswe took over from John Nyikadzino who guided the team into the Castle Lager Premier League, but results have been illusive as he only registered only one win in 13 outings leaving the club languishing in the relegation zone.
The club’s main objective this season is to stay afloat in their maiden dance in the elite league.
Chidawanyika said he was impressed with the performance of the boys in their last match away from home.
” Yes indeed I was impressed with his first game in charge, it was a much changed play and we had total control of the game in the first half, but in the second half we were no longer the same. The players responded very well to the coach’s tactics “, he said.
Sheasham are on position 17 with 13 points after registering a single win, 10 draws and three defeats.
Sheasham will next play Black Rhinos FC at home, Bata Stadium and Sweswe will be hoping to come out victorious in his first home assignment.
