ZVISHAVANE- Harare based Herentals FC aka Students who are using Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane as their home produced stellar performance on Saturday when they floored title chasing Ngezi Platinum Stars FC 2-1.

They got their all important goals from in form Tafadzwa Jimu who scored his fifth goal of the season and Tino Benza who banged a free kick, his sixth goal of the season and most importantly three points for his club.

The match provided soccer crazy Zvishavane residents the much needed weekend entertainment as former champions, FC Platinum were away to flamboyant side, Bulawayo Chiefs FC.

Michael Maphosa, an ardent FC Platinum supporter who initially doubted the inclusion of Tino Benza had a different opinion after the match.

” l thought Tino Benza was included in the team because nepotism but he proved me otherwise, in the build up of the first goal he shielded a defender creating a chance for his counterpart to score and during the match his movements were awesome, the free kick was an icing on top the cake. We were treated to top shelf football and it was very entertaining,” said Maphosa.
