Chiredzi- This year’s Roman Catholic Masvingo Dioceses choir competitions will be held at St Barbara Bangala Mission on the 15th June 2024.
Spiritual director of Masvingo Choir’s Association, Fr Mafusire confirmed that the choral competitions will be running under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope”.
“Pilgrims of Hope is the competition theme which is in line with the church’s year of prayer in preparation for the jubilee year 2025” said Fr Mafusire.
The mission is expecting to host 36 choirs from all over Masvingo Diocese who will be competing over the set piece “Zvinodikanwa na Tenzi” song composed by Professor Albert Munyanyi.
The Rt. Rev. Bishop Raymond Mupandawasekwa will be the Guest of Honor for the event which will see position 1 to 3 getting awards and trophies.
Last year St Joseph’s of Beitbridge were the eventual winners of the annual competition.
