ZAKA-Roman Catholic Church run St. Anthony’s High School in Zaka is celebrating a stellar performance in the 2025 O Level Zimbabwe School Examinations Council recording an outstanding pass rate of 92.04% compared to 2024’s 88.26%.

Out of 226 learners, 59 passed with 5A’s and above, 208 passed five subjects or more. Students passing five subjects and above including English, Maths and English are 94.
Highest learner had 11A’s and 2B’s.
The results saw notable achievements in both subjects. English topped the list, with a pass rate of 88.4%, as 199 students passed the subject out of 225 candidates.
In the sciences, Biology performed impressively with a pass rate of 100%.
The school also showed remarkable progress in Mathematics, recording a solid 73.9% pass rate, an area that has long been a focus for improvement. Agricultural Science was another standout, achieving a 73.3% pass rate.
Beyond the core subjects, students excelled in non-traditional courses. Home Economics achieved a perfect 100% pass rate while the Computer Science and Heritage departments also contributed to the school’s success with pass rates of 91.4% and 95.1% respectively.
School head Joram Mawana took the opportunity to commend the students, staff and responsible authority.
“I commend our 2025 O level learners for their efforts, the teachers and the responsible authorities. I want to congratulate them and wish them to continue aiming higher.”
