St Anthony’s attains 99% A Level ZIMSEC pass rate

ZAKA-Roman Catholic Church run St Anthony’s High School in Zaka District has recorded an outstanding performance in the 2025 A Level Zimbabwe School Examinations Council, improving its overall pass rate from 96.7% in 2024 to an impressive 99% this year.

A total of 105 learners sat for the examinations with 104 passing and only one candidate failing.

Of those who passed, 77 learners attained 10 points and above, underscoring the school’s strong academic depth.

Pure Mathematics emerged as one of the top performing subjects with 43 out of 71 candidates obtaining A grades. Geography and Biology both achieved a 100% pass rate alongside Home Management, Sports Management, Literature in English, Sociology, Crop Science, Shona, Family and Religious Studies, and Sports Science and Technology.

The top learner scored 21 points.

Commending the class of 2025, School Head Joram Mawana said, “The results are a true reflection of hard work and discipline. We extend our gratitude to parents, teachers, staff and the Responsible Authority for their unwavering support. We wish our learners every success in their future endeavours.”

The improved results further cement St Anthony’s High School’s reputation for academic excellence and disciplined learning within the Catholic Diocese of Masvingo.
