CHIPINGE -A Harare based soldier is on the run after killing his wife’s ex-husband who had come to see his children at the accused’s matrimonial home.
Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Nobert Muzondo confirmed the incident and said they are yet to arrest the accused.
Tapiwa Allen Mutoriti(36) who is employed by Ministry of Defence and stationed in Harare killed Wiseman Madhoyo.
Muzondo told The Midweek Watch that on July 29 this year, Madhoyo of Manzvire Village under Chief Mutema visited his ex-wife, Sarudzai Sithole(38) at Munyokowere Village in Chipangayi to see his three children.
Madhoyo requested to see his children privately and left the two at home as he went to the shops with his three children.
When Madhoyo returned he overheard Sithole telling his new Mutoriti that he was not taking care of the children.
A misunderstanding ensued and Madhoyo turned to Mutoriti insulting each other and the two men started wrestling and Madhoyo was overpowered and ran away.
Mutoriti followed him and caught up with him and stoned him once on the head and he died instantly.
Mutoriti is still at large
