MASVINGO – Wesley Mangwende, a soldier based at 4 Brigade Head Quarters Masvingo lost his Honda Fit to man who used duplicate keys while hiding his face from CCTV at Chicken Inn parking bay.
The white Honda Fit was stolen on September 2, 2023 at around 5pm at Chicken Inn parking bay along Robert Mugabe Way.
Masvingo Province Police deputy spokesperson, Lorine Chanakira Ndhlovu told The Midweek Watch that the Mangende parked his Honda Fit and locked the doors as he went inside Chicken Inn where he wanted to do an Innbucks transaction and upon returning to the parking bay after thirty minutes he noticed that his car was missing.
He went on to look for the car all over the town to no avail and then the following day (3 September) at around 1:30pm he made a report at Masvingo Central Police Station.
The Police requested for Chicken Inn CCTV for that day and they saw that there was a man wearing black clothes and a woolen hat that was covering his face who used duplicate keys to unlock the car and reversed it and drove along Masvingo Beitbridge Road.
