In an incident that has shaken the Marubamba area a baby sleeping in a spare bedroom was callously murdered and some body parts taken while her mother was having breakfast in the kitchen.
Police in Filabusi are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which, a baby boy (eight weeks) was found dead at Ukuzwisisa Village, Marubamba area on Africa Day with the nose and right cheek cut off.
The mother of the victim had left the baby sleeping in the spare bedroom while she was having breakfast in a kitchen hut.
“Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” reads a memo from national police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
