Gweru- Sheasham FC vice president, Happiness Dziva last week said they were working round the clock to complete renovations at their home ground, Bata Stadium, which was controversially stopped form hosting matches last week.
Dziva said that all hands are on the deck to ensure that they meet the ZIFA and Premier Soccer League requirements for them to begin hosting matches at their home ground.
Bata Stadium was controversially stopped from hosting matches by the PSL although they had been given the green light earlier on by the ZIFA First Instance Board and went on to flawlessly host Bosso in a game that ended in a stalemate.
“It is our hope that our next home match be played here at Bata Stadium, we are working on the areas of concern which were highlighted by PSL and ZIFA First Instance Board.
“Some of the areas which were highlighted by the PSL include our parking area which is required to have quarry stones, our terraces and the VIP stands which will have shades by next week.
“We are saying it is our hope that our next home match will be played here at home as we have moved swiftly in addressing outstanding areas. So far about US$500 000 has been channeled towards the renovations of the stadium,” he added.
Yesterday the Construction Boys played nil all draw against Triangle FC at Gibbo Stadium.
Last week the club boycotted their home fixture at Mandava Stadium against Caps Utd in protest against the banning of their home ground by PSL.
Speaking at a presser Sheasham FC gaffer, John Nyikadzino said his side was working on sharpening their strike force.
