ZVISHAVANE – Gweru-based outfit Sheasham FC bounced back to winning ways after posting an emphatic 2-0 win over Manica Diamonds in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Bata Stadium in Gweru.
The Construction Boys, who are fighting tooth and nail to survive relegation and extend their stay in the topflight league, got their goals through Hillary Bakacheza and Leonard Jani.
The results from the latest match mean that Sheasham has so far amassed a total of 34 points from 30 matches played, registering seven wins,13 draws and 10 losses. The Midlands-based outfit continues to push for survives with four games left before the season curtain comes down.
Coach Lizwe Sweswe said the win was a good win and the team played well, especially in the second half.
“The team played well in the second half and we managed to bag all the three pints. We keep pushing, all we want is to survive the dreaded chop and maintain our position in the top flight league,” said Sweswe.
