Shabanie FC bite the dust in second derby

ZVISHAVANE-FC Platinum U19 handed Shabanie Mine FC aka Chinda Boys their second derby loss after thumbing them 1-0 at the Zvishavane home of football, Mandava Stadium last Saturday.

A solitary goal by Trymore Kawerere was enough for the developmental team to collect all three points which was their third win on the trot in seven outings.

The U19s now have 10 points from seven games with two games in hand and on eighth position on the Ruvimbo Funeral ZIFA Central Region League.

Meanwhile, Shabanie Mine Fc who suffered the same scoreline defeat in their opening fixture against Loss Control Fc are 11th on the log with six points from nine outings with only one win in their books.

Shabanie Mine FC gaffer Arnold Jani said the team played well although they missed a galore of chances.

“The squad is still young, but they played very well and responded well to tactics unfortunately we conceded a single goal which saw us losing the match, we need to improve our finishing moving forward”, he said.
