Severely burnt toddler (4) appeals for US$1 500

Stako Muzirababa (4) an ECD pupil at Cheninga Primary School in Gutu South, Masvingo Province, was burnt by hot water on March 4, 2025, and is currently receiving treatment at Masvingo Provincial Hospital.

Stako is appealing for US$1 500 to enable him to get further treatment from specialists for the burns that he suffered.

In an interview with The Midweek Watch, Alice Mutema, on behalf of the boy said as the child’s medical expenses continue to mount, the family is struggling to meet them. In a desperate bid to secure the necessary funds, the Gutu District Social Benefit Fund has launched an appeal for assistance.

“We urge all well-wishers to come forward and support Stako’s family during this difficult time, any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping us cover the child’s medical expenses” said Mutema.
