Sakubva man on community service steals from court

MUTARE- Simbarashe Nathan Chirara (31) from Sakubva in Mutare, was arraigned before Mutare Magistrates Court on theft charges while performing community service at the justice delivery institution.

According to a statement released from the National Prosecuting Authority, on October 14 Chirara stole a Surge Protector Adaptor valued at US$20 while carrying out his community services duties.

Unfortunately for him, a police officer on duty noticed the theft and promptly notified the authorities.

The court took swift action, sentencing Chirara to one month imprisonment for his misdeeds.
