MASVINGO CITY-Rujeko Primary School has recorded a 90, 45% pass rate in the 2025 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Grade 7 results.

Speaking to The Midweek Watch, Rujeko Primary School Head, Phineas Muchati confirmed that out of 220 candidates who sat for the 2025 ZIMSEC exams, 108 were boys and 112 were girls, and of those 20 pupils failed one subject each out of the six.
“Our Grade 7 teachers worked extremely hard to attain this result despite harsh conditions and limited resources,” said Muchati.
Muchati attributed the drop in the pass rate to challenges faced during the year including resource constraints.
He also applauded the teamwork between the school staff and the School Development Committee (SDC) highlighting their united efforts in supporting learners throughout the year.
Looking ahead, Muchati expressed optimism stating that the school is aiming for a 100% pass rate in 2026.
