The incident happened on 16 January 2024 at around 2030 hours according to theMidlands Province Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, who also appealed for information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts.

“We are appealing to members of the public who might have information that can lead to the arrest of the culprits in this case to help us. Also, may members of the public be on the lookout for a white Nissan Sedan registration number AFO 6463,” said Mahoko.

Circumstances are that the now deceased, Black Henry Karonga of Greenharm Farm in Kwekwe was sleeping in his dining room with his other family members sleeping in other rooms when a group of intruders wearing face masks broke into the farm house.

They proceeded to the dining room and found Black Henry Karonga sleeping on the sofa. One of them struck Karonga twice – on the forehead and on the chest, killing him instantly.

The intruders ransacked the whole house and took cash amounting to US$65, Itel P57 and Kgtel cellphones.

Two of the men went to a room where two women were sleeping, tied them with electric cables and raped them. The gang went upstairs where they broke a safe and stole its contents. Exact things taken from the safe are yet to be established.

The criminals then took car keys of the complainants’ white Nissan Sedan which was parked in the yard and drove away.

The two female victims were referred to Kwekwe General Hospital for treatment while the dead body was taken to the mortuary of the same Hospital.
