Police hunt for fiery Mnangagwa critic, Bombshell

HARARE- THE POLICE has launched a manhunt for outspoken Zanu-PF Central Committee member and war veteran Blessed Runesu Bombshell Geza.

The police Bombshell faces four charges including undermining the authority of the President and theft of vehicle.

National Police Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the development in a statement on X.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is seeking information on the location and subsequent questioning of a suspect, Blessed Geza Runesu (Bombshell).

“The suspect is facing four counts of criminal charges as outlined. The suspect stole and disposed three vehicles belonging to a complaint without his consent.

“He is also facing two counts of contravening Section 33(2) (a) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23, Undermining the Authority of or insulting the President.

“He is also facing another count of contravening Section 187 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23 of inciting public to commit violence,” Nyathi wrote.

Nyathi however issued a chilling threat against anybody who could be harbouring the brave Mnangagwa critic.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that anyone who is harbouring the suspect or assisting him to evade Police questioning will be equally liable for arrest and subsequent prosecution,” he said.

Bombshell gained popularity this year after he launched a campaign against President Mnangagwa’s bid to stay in power beyond the constitutional 2028.

Geza demanded President Mnangagwa to dump his ED2030 mantra and resign immediately for not doing anything to stop corruption which is threatening the fabric of the economy and society as it is causing serious inequality.
