From African flesh and blood,
Proud to be and nothing ever to regret,
The feeling is great,
For it is to bloom wherever life plants you.
Nothing appears gold on a silver platter,
You accept it for what it is,
Hey, I mean that you can’t change or control,
Work towards that is within your power,
And make it happen.
“Our Africa, Our Future!”
Does it even appeal sensitively to you?
You own the place,
I belong here,
We are responsible for our land’s progress,
You and I,
It’s upon us all to create the home we all ever dreamt of,
The time is NOW!
We cry every day for the struggles at our table,
Poverty! Finding it hard to cope with life?
Drug abuse! Youths are absorbed in life-threatening addictions.
Unemployment! Few industries operate on average standards,
Early childhood marriages! It’s sad to even say, it’s a chain of disasters we keep on building for ourselves.
Is Africa this confused?
The confusion starts the moment you pay a blind eye to what matters most,
How has the black giant become this weak?
I feel that’s not how BOLD and BEAUTIFUL,
it is supposed to be,
It’s NOW or NEVER!
We suffer from what we can’t confront,
It is the resistance toward positive change,
That results in the persistence of problems,
Face it, Africa!
You are worth more than complaints, my motherland.
Struggles are solved within the source, not surface,
Ask yourself,
How can you provide solutions, With the same mindset you used to create the problems?
It’s no coincidence, “What you give attention, grows,” the book, “Heart of a leader” emphasized.
Mind education is the powerhouse of our deliverance,
Enough with the unnecessary syndromes,
Quit the blame game,
Ignorance is our hindrance to prosperity,
Africans, let’s unite and face reality,
Our difference in colors and languages,
Is only evidence of the existence of uncountable potential in us.
Interdependence is the alliance of the giant,
The way to silence our grievances,
The guidance towards our resilience,
And unlimited influence,
Our oneness is our significance,
Our compliance with the lifestyle,
“Our Africa, Our Future,”
Is Our vigilance assurance.
