GWERU- Mthandazo Ncube (24) was was killed by fellow patrons over a misunderstanding on February 16 last week at Club 04 in Ascot Extension, Gweru.
Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident and said two of the suspects Delon Nyoni (23) Wellington Tawanda Mandipa (27) were arrested while one Marshy is still at large.
The two suspects have since appeared at Gweru Magistrate Courts and have been placed on remand pending further trial.
It is alleged that, the now deceased Ncube was drinking beer at Club 04 in the company of his female friend aged (28) (name not provided).
A misunderstanding arose between him and three other patrons who were also drinking beer at the same club.
The security gueard manning the Club ejected the four for disturbing other patrons and one of the suspects produced a knife threatening to stab the guard, but he fled back into the bar leaving Mthandazo and his friend confrontating the three suspects.
Ncube and his friend ran away after they could not withstand the heat from the three and hid in a nearby maize field, but came back after sometime to confront the three again resulting in him being assaulted and stabbed all over the body with a knife.
A report was made at Mtapa Police Station and the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood and his body was to Gweru Provincial Hospital.
Through a tip off, Police managed to apprehend Nyoni and Mandipa, while Marshy is still at large.
