Masvingo- In a bid to maintain the dignity and sanctity of the prestigious choir competitions the Roman Catholic Church Masvingo Diocese Choirs Association has issued a stern warning on those who come on stage drunk.
As the Catholic Diocese of Masvingo prepares for the choir competitions scheduled for 14 June 2025 the Diocese’s Choirs Association is emphasizing the importance of discipline and sportsmanship among participating choirs.
This directive aims to ensure that all performances are conducted in a respectful and orderly manner.
Furthermore the association has outlined that choirs that will fail to handle competition results with grace will be banned from the competitions for 3 years.
“Choir members who express dissatisfaction with the results in an unacceptable manner such as insulting or attempting to fight the judges or venting their frustrations on social media in a wrong way will be banned from participating in the Diocese choir competitions for a period of three years” says the Choir Association.
With the event just around the corner choir members are urged to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values of the Diocese and the choir community.
